Privacy policy
Your plans are personal. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask of us. Last updated 8 November 2026.
Who we are
Godefroy Africa (Pty) Ltd, Reg. 2025/127876/07, works from Cape Town and Port Louis. We are the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) in South Africa, and the controller under the Data Protection Act 2017 in Mauritius. Our information officer is Grant Godefroy, Founder & Director. Write to godefroyafrica@outlook.com.
What we collect
- What you send us through the enquiry form, WhatsApp or email: your name, email address, phone number, travel dates, travellers, interests, budget, and anything else you choose to tell us.
- When you book: passport or ID details, dates of birth and, where a booking needs it, dietary or medical requirements. We ask for these separately, through a secure channel, and only when the booking requires them. Please do not put passport or ID numbers in the enquiry form.
- Standard visit data, such as device type and pages viewed, collected by our website host.
Why we use it
To reply to you, plan and price your journey, make bookings, keep the records the law requires, and improve how we work. We do not sell personal information. We send newsletters or offers only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.
Who else sees it
Only the people who need it to deliver your journey: airlines, hotels, lodges, operators and ground handlers; our accredited partner, Sure Travel Manor; Cloudflare, which hosts this website; and Formspree, which delivers the enquiry form to us by email. We share only what each of them needs. Some are outside South Africa and Mauritius. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information.
Children
We collect information about children only from a parent, guardian or school, and with their consent.
How long we keep it
For as long as we need it to answer your enquiry and plan your journey, and for booking records, for the period the law requires. After that we delete or anonymise it.
How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your information safe, and we limit who can see it.
Your rights
You may ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za or to the Data Protection Office (Mauritius) at dataprotection.govmu.org.

Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date.
